red velvet cake |
ingredients:
for cake:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
1 cup butter milk
3 tsp red food colour
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
salt to taste
for frosting:
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup cream cheese or butter or chocolate
sugar to taste
method:
for cake:
- take a bowl and add flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, sugar, salt and mix well.
- now beat the eggs in a small bowl by adding some oil in it and mix it finely.
- add the blended eggs in the above mixture and add butter milk slowly by mixing it throughly.
- than mix the vanilla extract and red food colour and mix well.
- divide and spread the mixture in the cake pan.
- bake it at 350 degree F for about 25-30 mins.
- take the cake pan out of the oven and let it cool for some time and cut the top of the cake to keep it flat.
for frosting:
- take a bowl and add butter and vanilla extract and mix it well.
- beat the sugar throughly in the butter to make a fine paste.
- now spread the frosting on the top of the cake or between the layers of the cake.
- now your red velevt cake is ready to eat..!!
