ingredients:

for cake:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
1 cup butter milk
3 tsp red food colour
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
salt to taste

for frosting:
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup cream cheese or butter or chocolate
sugar to taste

method:

for cake:
  1. take a bowl and add flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, sugar, salt and mix well.
  2. now beat the eggs in a small bowl by adding some oil in it and mix it finely.
  3. add the blended eggs in the above mixture and add butter milk slowly by mixing it throughly.
  4. than mix the vanilla extract and red food colour and mix well.
  5. divide and spread the mixture in the cake pan.
  6. bake it at 350 degree F for about 25-30 mins.
  7. take the cake pan out of the oven and let it cool for some time and cut the top of the cake to keep it flat.
for frosting:
  1. take a bowl and add butter and vanilla extract and mix it well.
  2. beat the sugar throughly in the butter to make a fine paste.
  3. now spread the frosting on the top of the cake or between the layers of the cake.
  4. now your red velevt cake is ready to eat..!!
