ingredients:
1kg carrot
1 liter fresh milk
500 grm sugar
3-4 tsp ghee
8-10 cashew nuts
5-6 almonds
2 tsp raisin
method:
- wash and grate the carrots and keep it covered in a bowl.
- in a big vessel add some ghee and cashew nuts, almonds, raisin and mix well in the ghee.
- now add the grated carrot and continously mix it for 15-20 mins.
- add milk in the carrots and keep it on low flames and keep on stirring it.
- add sugar and mix well till the milk and sugar are absorbed by the carrots for about 1/2 hour and cook.
- turn off the flames and transfer the halwa in a bowl and garnish it with some cashew and almonds on it.
